Mettupalayam Lorry Owners Association was started in the year 1957, with 200 Members. Mr. M.K. Ponnusamy is the current president of this Association. The Main Motive of this Association is to serve Lorry Owners. It is Located in Karamadai road, Mettupalayam.

About Association:

It was the First Association of the country, which was routed by cause of starting Tamilnadu Lorry Owners Federation and All India Motor Transport Congress. This Association was found by Mr. S.M. Karivaradasamy fondly called as SMK by lorry owners of town.

Services:

  • Providing Fuel and Lubricants at reasonable price at Right Quality and Quantity.
  • Assisting Lorry Owners in getting their Problems solved with officials.

Achivement:

During the drought period of late 1960's moved rice and other essential commodities all over the country, especially to the parts of Nilgiri district.
