Mettupalayam Consumer Protection Organisation was started in the year 1988, it was fondly called as MCPO. It is under Central and State Counsumer councils, and also has been given Government aid 3 times. Mr. N. Venkatraman is the current President of this organisation.

Motive:

Main motive of this organisation is to provide awareness to the people about consumer rights and also to assist in solving their problems.

Services:

• Solving Problems of people not only in mettupalayam, also in other surroundings of mettupalayam.
• Running awarness meetings and discussions at Schools and Colleges.
• Solving problems in Private sectors also.

This Organisation had given guideline notes to the people in the events of consumer protection councils for the awarness of people.
