Mettupalayam Big Mosque.Big Mosque, more than 100 years old mosque was situated in Sirumugai road. This mosque was formed by Janab C. Kadhar Hussain and muslim people, this was called as big mosque. "Payjul Parakkath" Arabi training cantre was run under this mosque administration, getting training from here many of them were working in many places as Arabi Trainer and prayer conducting people probably said as "Hajrath".Reconstructed:Due to lack of space for prayer this mosque was demolished completely and reconstructed by the management with the help donation from people.Due to continuous management this mosque became one of the highlight for mettupalayam.
