Mettupalayam Feb 07, 2010: The  Polio vaccination program on February 7 was conducted at various venues to eradicate the disease that continues to be a menace in some pockets of the district, Vaccination had was given to children of the region and at one such occassion mettupalayam municipality chairman Sathyavathy Ganesh and Assistant chairman Arumugam at Mettupalayam Bus stand gave polio drops  to  children. Many children in the region availed of this benefit that is a primary program of the Rotary International Institution by the name of " End Polio Now".
