Sirumugai Feb 09, 2010: Coimbatore District Handloom Weavers Union (CDHWU) protested in Sirumugai at 04.00PM near Naal Road, Sirumugai. In this protest they represented their needs that are a cause of concern as listed : 

 

Reduce Increase of rates.

Strengthen the supply of Ration items.

Distribute Public Welfare Funds Earlier.

Stop the Contract System.

Bring Forward Industrial Rights and Employee Welfare System.

Regular Supply of Electrcity to Handloom Weavers.

Increase pension for ladies as Rs.50.

Stop powerloom Production and save Handloom.

Provide Increment on salary for weavers.
